Zoloft adverse effects
As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Zoloft. But this not means that everyone who takes Zoloft will experience side effects. Unfortunately, most people tolerate Zoloft well. In most cases the side effects are minor and is not required treatment or can be easily treated.
The possible side effects of Zoloft might be:
- Nausea
- dizziness
- dry mouth
- loss of appetite
- increased sweating
- drowsiness
- diarrhea
- upset stomach
- trouble sleeping
If you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction, get emergency medical help:
- skin rash or hives
- difficulty breathing
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
A major allergic reaction to this medicine is unlikely, but seek for medical attention if it appears.
There are rare Zoloft side effects that can occur in less than 1 % of patients.

- Impotence
- Flushing
- Cold, clammy skin
- hypertension
- Glaucoma
- Hair loss
- Acne
- Weight gain
- Increased appetite
- Muscle pain
- Menstrual problems
- Seizures
- Yawning
- Ringing in the ears
- Irritation or inflammation of the nasal passages
